What is my Index Score and Why is it important?

Each four-year institution has an index score requirement for admission of new and transfer students. This index score is a quantitative evaluation that is part of a larger student application evaluation. Note: Index Score is not the only requirement for admission! For new applicants, the index score is calculated using a combination of a student's high school GPA or high score rank percentage combined with ACT or SAT score. For transfer students, acceptance is calculated based on transfer GPA.
